On arrival
The most convenient way to get around town is by taxi, offering a flat rate of 75 dirhams (approximately $ 20 USD / $ 25 AUD). The journey takes about 40 minutes depending on the traffic.

Spinning around
The easiest way to get around Abu Dhabi is by car and by international standards, taxis are still reasonable. It is also within walking distance. But heat may be the biggest obstacle.

Getting By
Visiting the UAE as a foreigner is almost as scary as possible. Of course, there is a bit of cultural shock … But as in Dubai, Abu Dhabi is filled with expatriates who make the international city a lot. There are certain laws to beware of such a state of Muslim majority:

Dress a semi-greenhouse with no short shorts or skirts, and not too much skin. Of course, in mosques, dressing is more strictly done by women covering their heads, ankles and wrists. (At the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, you can rent Abaya to cover yourself.)

Do not show public love – that is, kissing or hugging in public.

During Ramadan, no one is allowed to eat or drink in public because it is a fasting month for Muslims.

Dubai is nearby and less than 2 hours to drive. Taxis are also available for travel. Desert safari is also popular and is available every day.
